VL 45 Radiohus Pendant
Description
The renowned Danish functionalist architect Vilhelm Lauritzen designed the VL 45 Radiohus Pendant in the late 1930s as part of his total work of art, Radiohuset (The Radio House), headquarters of the Danish Broadcasting Corporation, which was inaugurated just after the end of World War II in 1945.
Lauritzen designed the pendant and all other lamps for Radiohuset in collaboration with Louis Poulsen. The pendant was initially named the Office Lamp, featuring a glossy, three-layer, mouth-blown glass shade with untreated brass details.
The design maintains its excellent lighting benefits and quiet luxury appearance that aligns well with contemporary interior trends today.
Available here in brass/gloss white opal glass.
